NOTE FROM THE ARTIST- ''I started creating pastel studies of the human body after walking through the main sculpture gallery in the V and A. I was interested that these artists from over a century ago, had captured the simple beauty of the human body through their sculptures. Too often in our modern society the body is seen as merely functional. I try to use colours that are as vibrant as possible, to highlight the beauty and perplexity of the human body that we often neglect.
